The Expert

Please be patient with us, I am still learning to navigate the actual blog.

Christie calls me Kim, let's go by The Expert from now on.    Why The Expert?   Met my boyfriend of three years on Match.com.  I suggest to many of my single friends in NYC to join, guys & gals.   Guess what?  One is getting married to her match next year.  The whole site can be overwhelming, strange, humorous, creepy, fabulous, addictive...you name it!  I am here to help Christie cut to the chase and get right to her dates.   I have to say it's been a bumpy start, stay tuned we are close to our first date.    I will also be introducing you to Mr Matched.

Meet Christie...Miss Matched

Well..  Finally starting this dating blog.  Yes, I have been putting it off.  I mean lets face it..  This could be terribly crushing on my fragile ego. here i am...49.  single mom with a job that takes up 90% of my time.  Who in the world would want to go out with someone who has "no time"??  And then the other part of it. who people THINK i am.   what they THINK I"m like.  I guess we all kind of form a preconceived notion about people.  From my facebook page even I think I look like a lot of fun!  But alas, that is just my job.  working with recording artists and hanging around "fabulous" people.  The other side of me is pretty quiet and to myself. Being a mom...hanging with my dog and playing lots of tennis.   The two worlds are worlds apart.  During the week there are events almost every night.   Me.. 49..out in the clubs until 4am.  Then back to the suburbs and back to my other reality.  Waking my son up for school.  Then walking (or going for a run) with my dog through the woods for the next hour.  My  one bit of tranquil time. My only hour I don't carry my blackberry.  And then BAM...the day starts. Last week was more crazy than usual.  One of my artists was in town as her album was dropping.  Besides the regular work that needs to get get done in the office ( I am General Manger of a Music Group), I went to David Letterman, GMA. KISS FM, Christopher Reeve Foundation Event, a Moet party hosted by Ne-Yo, and a charity event hosted by an actual friend of mine therefore forgoing a gay event and club show that same night. Saturday comes and I am wiped out.  So happy to do nothing!  I mean, I love my job.  I just need to find some BALANCE and that includes a real social life.  A real relationship.  I was married for 23 years.  A stay at home mom for 18.  My life is so different now.

SO, all that being said I am starting a new project.  a match.com project.  Kim, my new friend and publicist for a couple of my artists, met her guy on Match so she strongly suggested I give it a try.  hmmmmmmm.  Not really thinking this is going to work..  But this is how it's going to play out.  Kim... will pick the matches for me.  she will email...she will read the emails....she will wink, she will block... Kim will be my matchmaker.  She will set the dates up at a restaurant where she will also be eating with her guy and they will blog about my date.  Hopefully, I will actually have a date.  We will see.  Kim will keep everyone updated on her experience from the matchmaking perspective as well.  This could be HILARIOUS!! We will have guest bloggers, and our regular blogging team which you will get to know well.  Whatever it is, I hope you enjoy the ride with us.  And maybe I'll find a match!!!
